If you are working for credit points, you can complete the evaluation requirement for this course by attending the classes for the statutary time (= 25% minimum), TOGETHER with ONE of the following submissions (i.e., tasks):

  1. Write an essay of 5 pages (not less than 1,000) words in response to one of the essay topics given here - as attached. This task may be completed in English or Portuguese; or:—
  2. Submit a workbook* comprising well-organised notes, extracts  and/or images. This task is to be completed in English.

*A workbook is a single volume - notebook or ring-binder - containing materials which demonstrate an attentive record of the proceeding of the course.

In either case, the aim of this evaluation process is to demonstrate a well-informed and well-judged appreciation of the nature, interest, and value of the writers concerned. Feedback remarks will be supplied for all work received.

What do you think of this?

Note: There is a mini-test in the form of samples of prose writing by each of our three authors for identification on the attached page. Depending on your response in class, I am considering adding this to the Evaluation options.
