The readership challenge to each student is first and foremost to read the extracts from each successive chapter of the novel which I have supplied here and - secondly - to research the theme, context and treatment (technique) of each with a view to writing a short essay as one option in the second Evaluation on our course in Irish-Literature. More about this will be said in the Evaluation pages - to be added here at a certain date (not yet).
