Down; printed William Drennan’s Fugitive Pieces (1815), his first commission; joined Belfast Monthly Magazine, 1812-1814; established printing office off Joy St., and founded Northern Whig in 1824; supported Catholic Emancipation and Tenant Rights Association; twice imprisoned and fined.
