?- ; b. Templepatrick, Ballyclare, Co. Antrim; has worked as postman, hospital cleaner, sailor, and airport worker; latterly farming, civil services, parenthbood and post-grad. studies; issued Heat of a Heartless World (1995), a novel set in Ulster and concerning young love with suspicions of incest in the paternal background; issued Treasures of the Unconscious (2009), a poetry collection; also eds. The Black Mountain Review, with Arts Council aid.
