Life
1978- [U. R. Sarma]; b. Lahinch, Co. Clare of Irish mother and Indian father; wrote first play in 1999; fnd. Djinn Theatre Co.; author of Touched and Blue, successful Edinburgh Festival Fringe plays; dir. her own play Gift at Limerick Th. Festival; also wrote a radio play and a film script; settled in London for three years; wrote commissioned plays from Royal National Th., London, NY Origin Th., commuting between cities; The Magic Tree, premiered at Cork Midsummer Fest. (Granary, July 2008); now lives in Dublin.
