RHA at 21; studied in Paris and London, 1927-32; represented Ireland with Norah McGuinness at Venice Biennale in 1950; Douglas Hyde gold medal and Arts Council award, Oireachtas, 1972; died in Drogheda hospital, Nov. 1981.
