1796-1865; ed. Adair’s school, Fermoy; TCD, MD, grad. 1820; taught anatomy in London from 1826; Prof. of Gen. Anatomy, Univ. College. London, 1831-35; member of Univ. Senate, 1835; lived mostly in Paris after retirement, c.1845; Elements of Descriptive and Pracical Anatomy (1828), a standard work, freq. edited and translated; remained unmarried; d. 31 Jan.
