1820-1887 [var. O’Conor]; b. Cork; ed. TCD, BA 1864; curacies in Liverpool, Manchester, and Chester; Latin lecturer at St. Aidan’s Theological College, Birkenhead (Liverpool); noted as eloquent and original preacher while rector of SS. Simon and Jude, Manchester, 1858-87; wrote theological works; also History of the Irish People (2 vols., 1882); The Irish Massacre of 1641 (1885); W. E. A.
