Life 1869-1932 [Thomas Henry Nally]; b. Co. Mayo; his play, The Spancel of Death, due to be performed by Abbey at Easter 1916, but cancelled. Pantomine, Finn Varra Maa, criticised as patriotic, also the first panto based on Irish legend.; Spancel (a strip of human flesh) deals with witch-craft and superstition in West of Ireland. DIW
