Life
1847-1915 [descendentof Charles Robert Maturin]; ed. TCD, and rector of
St. Clements in Philadelphia, converted to Catholicism, ordained in Rome,
and appt. Chaplain at Oxford Univ., 1914, being an Anglican Cowley Father;
author of Price of Unity; drowned on the Lusitania on the way to
America to preach Lent. Practical Studies on the Parables of Our Lord
(1897), and Laws of Spiritual Life (1905). DIB
