Belfast, brought up in Dublin; worked in Dublin newsroom up to 1998; Someone Like You (2001), her fifth novel, was awarded Romantic Novelists’ Association Prize (£5,000); also Just Between Us (2002), in which Stella, Tara and Holly, the dgs. of Rose Miller, arrange a fortieth birthday party for her and uncover family secrets before finding romance and fulfilment.
