Life
1811-1901; b. Munnery, Co. Cavan; went to Boston, 1821; apprenticed to
printer; publisher and bookseller, founded the Boston Pilot; printing
house burnt in 1878; sold Pilot and commenced Donahoe’s
Magazine, enabling him to buy back the Pilot in 1881; published
work by David Power Conyngham, Mary Sadlier, John Savage, Matthew Russell,
