Charles Dibdin

Life
1745-1814; born in Southampton, Hampshire; dismissed by Garrick for misusing his mistress, satirised him in The Comic Mirror. Dibdin, Chas., father and son, are well-known theatrical musicians; Dibdin Jnr. was at Smock Alley for a season. ODNB OCEL
