Dublin; author of thriller-fiction dealing with Harry Fielding, MI5, and so on; Book-Thief’s Heartbeat (Co-op), Twist and Shout (Brandon), The Illustrator (Wolfhound), The Crooked Man (Cape), and has co-written Exposure, and Criminal Conversation, TV dramas; also a play, The Invisible Mending Company (Peacock); extract from McKenzie’s Friend (Cape 2002) appeared in The Irish Times [Weekend], 15 Dec. 2001; The Long Suit (London: Jonathan Cape 2003), 288pp.
