TCD; curate of Donaghendry; his “Yarico to Inkle” and “English and Latin Songs of Chevy Chase” appeared with Poems on Several Subjects (1793), a volume Dublin-printed with 1,339 subscriptions; other works include A Versification of the Book of Job and Christ’s Sermon on the Mount (1799) and Essays in Prose and Verse (1806); his Latin “Chevy Chase” is quoted in Lord Woodhouse’s Essay on Translation [q.d.].
