Dreamweaver File Management Individual files and folders can be created, deleted, copied and moved in Dreamweaver much as in Windows Explorer. If has been done to the local site in Explorer, however, a message will be appear in Dreamweaver inviting you to ‘Recreate’ the Site Cache. Until this is done and updating of links will not take place.
Properties & Formats All properties & formats are controlled through the corresponding palettes options in preferences control how these are displayed.
Drag & Drop Select causes ‘type over’ or ‘'copy over’ responses to the Paste (CTRL+V) command. Drag and drop work as well as in Word. Common formats use familiar keys, e.g., CTRL+B = Normalface - and these are switches (i.e., the same keystrokes reverse the effect).
  HTML editor

To bring up the HTML Editor, press F10. To enter the html source, use keystroke CTRL+TAB (switch to return to text mode).
Many features of a given page are more easily altered in html-mode using the standard codes than in text-mode.
Note that a paragraph assumes the format of the preceeding paragraph unless a new class is named: e.g., <p class="Normal" align="justify" - the standard paragraph in Ricorso.

File Transfer Protocol (FTP) Dreamweaver’s File Map enables ‘Get/Put’ and ‘Check In/Check Out’ modes of up- and down-loading. If the latter is adopted in the Define Site menu, any file that is double clicked on the Local Site will be brought over from the Remote site. Dreamweaver will cause computer crashes if the Site Cache is not regularly recreate.
